Ingredients:
Organic kawakawa leaves
Benefits of Kawakawa:
Kawakawa is found in the low lying coastal areas of NZ and can be identified by its pretty heart shaped leaves. Kawakawa is known to be useful in dealing with conditions of the digestive tract, for inflammation, and as a anti-microbial herb. It has a calming effect on the stomach for those suffering from cramps and bloating as it assists in moving trapped wind. Kawakawa can aid in the reduction of inflammation which can help with arthritis and improve circulation. As an anti-microbial herb Kawakawa has the ability to kill bugs, so it is great for treating infections. Chew some as a pain reliever for sore teeth, for coughs, or use as an antiseptic - it's also great for headaches, and if you're stuck in the bush, the stem of the kawakawa can be used as a toothbrush - perhaps don't get stuck in the bush to try this one out!
The leaves with caterpillar holes are the best, they indicate that they are safe to eat.
